Eilleen Shkwarok

She will be remembered by daughters Jo-Anne Bohonos, Sherry (Steven) Martindale, Denise Shkwarok; seven grandchildren, Ashley (Mark), Blake (Nicole), Megan (Travis), Chelsea (Tyson), Mitchell (Ashley), Tyler (Ashley) and Koryl; thirteen great grandchildren, three great, great granddaughters; brother in law Jim Shkwarok and his family.

Eilleen was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, William Shkwarok, her parents, her siblings as well as son in law Lincoln Bohonos.

Eilleen was born on October 27, 1934. She married Bill in 1957 and together they raised their three daughters with Eileen managing the household.

Those who knew Eilleen would recall her love of camping, gardening and knitting scrubbies for the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary. Eilleen’s grandchildren will remember their many summer camping trips with Gramma and Pa and countless games of 50 Cent and Yahtzee played under the glow of a propane lantern.

At Eilleen’s request a funeral service will not be held. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Witten and the staff at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital for their care these past few months.
