Grant Melvin Stuart

Grant was so much to so many: husband, father, grandpa, brother, son, cousin, and friend. He always strived to impart a positive message and memory to everyone he encountered.

Grant left us on May 28th, 2025 just days after his 84th birthday. He was blessed to have had family and friends around him during his last days.

Grant’s history is full of adventure. He knew how to live fully and how to share a good story. He fondly remembered his early teaching days, his many trucks, scuba diving, his love of technology and his passion for music.

It gave him great pleasure to treat the seniors in our community with music, song and a joke or two alongside the band ‘Old Spice’.

Grant felt such pride in his family including his wife Cynthia; his children: Grace, Heather (Bernie), David (Dominique); his grandchildren: Emilie (Taylor), Jacob, Nolan and Evalena; his siblings: Marilynn, Valerie and Doug.

He was predeceased by his brother Edward and his parents Henry and Grace.

His many friends and music pals were most special to him. He was lucky to have friendships that spanned many decades.

A Celebration of Life for Grant will take place at 1:00pm on Friday August 8, 2025 in the McPherson Funeral Home Reception Centre in Cranbrook. If you have a musical instrument bring it along and join in the music Jam at the Celebration.
