Obituary of Kathleen MacIntyre

Kay (Kathleen) MacIntyre

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kay) MacIntyre on March 15, 2026. Kay was born on March 5th, 1930 in Nelson BC. While in High school she met and later married Ron MacIntyre. They moved through the interior and settled in Castlegar and finally in Kimberley. She is predeceased by her husband Ron and granddaughter, Kalsie. Kay leaves behind her sons Lindsay (Sharleen) and Tom (Jeanie); grandson Brett (Allison); great grandson Hugh; Mike and great grandson Rowan.

Kay enjoyed skiing, golfing and hiking in the Kimberley area. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Christina Lake, B.C. Kay enjoyed a long life living independently in her own home up until she passed. There are many words to describe her – energetic, vivacious, interesting and sometimes bossy. Always beautifully dressed, bejeweled and coiffed.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lunge and doctors and staff of the Cranbrook Hospital; as well as, Andrea Wallace, Kimberley Home Care. We would also like to thank Gord and Kathy McLeod, Dennis and Sandra Wasnea and all of the many friends at CLARA for looking after her at Christina Lake. As well as, special friends Diane and Rich Klekowski for all of their help over the years.

As per her request there will be no services.
