Larry Wales

We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Larry Wales in Cranbrook, BC. He was born in Windsor, ON, on May 15, 1949, and he passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the age of 76.

He journeyed peacefully with family by his side.

He will now be reunited with his brother Garry Wales, who passed away in 2019, his sister Sandra- April 2020, his mother Thelma Pearl- August 1999, and his father Garnet Wales.

He leaves behind his best friend, Diane, two children, Robert and Stephanie, and grandchildren Tylor, Kyle, Alana, Hailey, Jazlyn, Dillion, and Gatlen Wales, as well as one great-grandchild.

Larry was a simple man who enjoyed fishing, drives and relaxing by the fire with his bestfriend Diane; while they lived up St.Marys lake road. He loved visits with his grandkids, had an infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humour…that also shines through many of his grandchildren. He loved a comfortable pair of sweatpants, could never have enough socks, there was often a hunt for his lost glasses and enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

He had a strong enthusiasm and skill for woodworking and painting his creations. He left this world with so many memories with his loved ones.

Anyone familiar with Larry was aware of his small dog Bailey, who was always close by. Larry cherished Bailey more than anything… they shared a connection unlike any-other; some might say Bailey felt more like a third child to him.

Larry had so much love to give and was always there whenever his grandchildren or children needed, regardless of the situation.

He was so greatly loved, cherished and will be missed beyond words.
