Margaret was born in Coleman, Alberta on May 8, 1941 and then made Cranbrook her home, raising her family and joyfully sitting as matriarch of her entire extended family.  This was the most important part of her life as she tirelessly led and cared for her family.

Margaret is survived by her cherished children; Louie, Shelley and Tracey (Jim); as well as her grandchildren; Wade (Melanie), Dave, Darren (Jamie), Chantelle (Craig), Haley and Alysha.  Great grandchildren; Sierra, Wyatt, Cash, Curtis, Kendal, Deklan and Daxton.   Also left to mourn are her brother, Roy (Diane) and sisters Florence (Ellwood) and Debbie (Denis) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.  Margaret was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Diane, her parents Mario and Florence Cervo, and her sisters Theresa and Shirley.

As per her wish, Margaret has been cremated.  A celebration of life will be conducted on May 18, 2024 in Westlawn Cemetery in Cranbrook.  Margaret’s remains will be laid to rest alongside her father on this day.  Everyone is welcome to attend the celebration and social gathering to follow at Margaret’s home, 319 – 11^th St. S., Cranbrook.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the hospital who helped Margaret in her last days.  Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
