With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Fast, who died on June 25, 2025, at the age of 76, in Cranbrook, BC.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength. Her deep love for her family and the care she showed to those around her left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Born on May 19, 1949, in Kimberley, BC, Mary lived a life filled with compassion, grace, and quiet resilience. She found joy in life’s simple moments—time with family, warm conversation, and the peace of nature. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Mary is survived by her son Richard and daughter-in-law Edie, her daughter Tara and son-in-law Glenn, and her cherished granddaughters Chanelle and Hailey. She is also survived by her sisters Kathy Smith, Barbara Jarrett, Bev Jarrett, and Laura Millard; her brothers Joe Jarrett and Jim Jarrett; and by many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Rick, her parents Joseph and Edith Jarrett, her sister Louise Pinch, and her grandson Brandon Fast.

In accordance with Mary’s wishes, no service will be held. She preferred to be remembered quietly and lovingly by those whose lives she touched.
