Obituary of Ronald Stanley Lewis

Ronald Stanley Lewis

November 26, 1942  –  November 27, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Lewis of Kimberley, BC on November 27, 2025. Ron was born in Trail, BC to Stephen and Mina Lewis, and he grew up in Fruitvale, BC. He started his career in 1961 with Cominco Trail. He was first an armature winder and then a journeyman electrician. He advanced to be an Electrical Supervisor. From Trail he went to Benson Lake until the mine closed. Then he went to Pine Point until the mine closed. He transferred to Fording River at that time with Cominco. He worked there until 1994. He then hired at Sullivan Mine in Kimberley, BC. He worked there until closure in December 2001. Then he was hired by Sullivan Closure Company until closure in March 2017.

Ron is predeceased by his parents, his infant brother Carl, his sister Gert and his brothers Art, Harold and Jim, and twin brother Don.

Ron is survived by his loving and caring wife of 48 years, Joyce, his sons Stuart (Melinda) and Darren (Amanda), as well as his grandchildren, Calista, Brenen, Jennifer and Austin. He is also survived by his sister, Frieda and brother Ray (Tj) both of Edmonton, AB.

It is Ron’s wishes to have no funeral service or celebration of life. Flowers are gratefully declined.
