Obituary of Sheila NODWELL
Sheila NODWELL
Sheila Rose Nodwell, born in Edmonton in 1958, passed away on September 4th, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by her loved ones and her faithful cattle dog, Wilson, after a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer.
Sheila is lovingly remembered by her mother, Maureen (95), her brother, Robert (70), and her four children: Roseanna (33), Heyden (32), Carmen (31), and Dexter (29). She is also survived by her son-in-law, Nick (34), and her cherished grandchildren, Blaze (8) and Clara (5).
Sheila’s life was marked by warmth, kindness, and a gentle spirit. She was always ready with reasonable advice and a compassionate ear for those around her. Her love for the mountains inspired countless adventures, and she encouraged others to embrace each day fully. Sheila often shared the phrase, “Do something you love every day,” believing deeply in the importance of living life to the fullest—whether that meant walking the dog, hiking, cycling, traveling, or simply enjoying the moment. She reminded everyone, “Don’t wait—life is short.”
In accordance with Sheila’s wishes, there will be no funeral. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paul Michal, Dr. Jacek Orzylowski, and the dedicated staff at Elk Valley Hospital for their care and kindness during Sheila’s final days.
Sheila’s legacy of warmth, joy, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
