It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Synnerva King, who left this world peacefully on June 9th at the age of 103. Synnerva was born on April 30, 1922 in Oslo, Norway, and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those around her.
Synnerva was a cherished Mother, parent, spouse, sibling and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether lending a helping hand or sharing a smile, Synnerva exemplified a life well-lived, full of compassion, joy, and resilience.
A devoted homemaker, Synnerva spent her days enriching the lives of others with her talents, wisdom, and boundless energy. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who carry her memory in their hearts.
Synnerva is survived by her youngest son Alton (Wendy), daughters-in-law Trudy (Donald) and Valerie (Glenn) plus 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Leslie, Sons Glenn and Donald. Her love, spirit, and laughter will remain with us as a guiding light.
To honor the extraordinary life of Synnerva, a Celebration of Life will be held on June 14 at 1:00pm at Joesph Creek Village, 1901 Willowbrook Drive, Cranbrook, BC. This gathering will be an opportunity to share stories, memories, and gratitude for the moments we were fortunate enough to share with Synnerva.
Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Synnerva are invited to attend and pay tribute to the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Attendees are encouraged to bring photographs, letters, or mementos to contribute to a memory table as we come together to celebrate her journey.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in celebrating the remarkable life of Synnerva and cherishing the memories they created. May her spirit live on in all of us.
As we say goodbye to Synnerva, we take solace in knowing she blessed us with unwavering love and enduring lessons. Her impact on our lives will never fade, and her story will continue to be told through the lives she touched.
Rest in peace, dear Synnerva. You will be forever in our hearts.
