Thomas “Morley” Loucks

Thomas Morley Loucks of Cranbrook B.C passed away peacefully on Feb 6, 2026 at the age of 88.
Morley was born Aug 28,1937 in Melita Manitoba and was later raised in Cranbrook where he met and married the love of his life, Sonja Corneliuson.

Morley dedicated his working career in the lumber Industry. He started at Sash and Door and then Crestbrook Forest Industries until his retirement 41 years later. In retirement Morley enjoyed the simple things in life, walking around town, watching grandchildren’s sporting events, and most often sitting on his swing in the back yard.

Morley was predeceased by his wife Sonja; his parents Thomas & Florence; his brother David (Sharon); a sister who passed at birth and daughter-in-law Melissa.

Morley is survived by his children Lorne, Brad, Linda (Peter) and Cory. He will be forever missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren all of who he was immensely proud. He also leaves many other family members & friends who will sadly miss him.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff, care aides & nursing staff at Joseph Creek and more recently Kootenay Street for their care, kindness & support to our dad.

A special thank you to Dr. Brown his family physician, Dr. Shope, Brianna Rota Senior’s Mental Health & Substance Use with Interior Health and Shanta Pendharker Home Health Clinician Clinical Operations with Interior Health. Your patience, compassion & care was unwavering, you treated him with respect & humanity and allowed him to live with dignity.

Please join us in Celebrating the Life of Morley on March 21, 2026 at the Eagles Hall in Cranbrook from 3-6 pm.
