It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Todd William Parnell, who left us far too soon on August 12, 2025, at the age of 59. Born in Fernie, British Columbia, Todd was the third of five children.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Margaret Parnell, his siblings Leeann (Jamie), Deborah (Gerald), Kal, and Darrin (Julie); his children Andrea, Aaron, and Jorden; his grandchildren, Cian and Maggie, and his extended family of cousins, nephews and nieces.

Todd was an avid fisherman and a true outdoorsman, most at peace surrounded by nature. A gifted artist, he had a special talent for capturing the spirit of wildlife through his artwork. He was also an accomplished carpenter, and his family feel blessed to have a lasting reminder of his craftsmanship in the homes of those who loved him.

Todd will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit — always willing to lend a hand, share a story, or offer support to those in need. Though his journey was marked by the challenges of addiction, those who knew him best remember a man who was always ready to help others, even when he was facing his own battles.

Todd’s family will gather privately to honour his life. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services, to support others who walk a similar path.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
