It is with deep sorrow that the family of Roy Lafortune announces his passing on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Cranbrook, BC at 90 years of age. Roy was born on November 27, 1927 in Kimberley, BC. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by them.

Left to mourn Roy’s passing are his loving wife of 68 years Rose (nee Waddell), his sons Greg (Loretta) Lafortune of Courtenay, BC, Chuck (Kim) Lafortune of Kelowna, BC, Barrie (Philomena) Lafortune of Fernie, BC and Murray (Alison) Lafortune of Kimberley, BC, his daughters Diane (Alex) Campbell of Courtenay, BC, and Janice (Dyke) McInnes of Atwood, ON.

Roy was predeceased by his infant daughter Verna and his brothers Albert, Eddie and Robert.

A graveside service for Roy was held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Kimberley Cemetery in Kimberley, BC.
