Obtuary of Cheryl Anne McCormick

Cheryl Anne McCormick

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Anne McCormick at the age of 68. Cheryl, who was affectionately known as Hulla, departed her loving family on March 31, 2026.

Cheryl was born in Cranbrook, BC, on April 5, 1957, to Herb and Betty Conroy. She was the mother of Justin McCormick (Katie) and Kaylyn Jensen (Austin). Always at her side was her loving twin, Carol Lance, and Carol’s two children, Brandon Tanner (Liz) and Dale Tanner (Amber).

Cheryl’s life was spent in service to her family, friends, church, and community. Her happiest moments were spent with family—enjoying picnics at Norbury Lake, drives in the mountains, and time with her grandchildren.

Hulla’s love and service to others extended to many through her years of running a daycare and providing home care, as well as to all those she warmly welcomed as guests in her home.

Cheryl was predeceased by her twin sister, Carol, and her parents, Herb and Betty Conroy. She is survived by her brothers, Jim (Donna) Conroy and Bud Conroy, and her sisters, Maureen (Dennis) Adamkewicz and Lorraine Lyster (late husband Ken).

Hulla would want each of her grandchildren—Jayson, Carter, Chevelle, Kyrin, Cooper, Daxon, Kylee, Stella, Lexie, Cohen, Grayson, and Emma—to know that she loves them very much and looks forward to the day she will see them again.

Funeral services for Cheryl will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 a.m. in Cranbrook, BC, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2210 2nd Street North. The Service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person, please click the following link to view : https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/cheryl-mccormick-service
