At the Library

By Mike Selby

Cranbrook Public Library

Mark your calendars for the Friends of the Library Winter Book Sale in the Manual Training School, adjacent to the library. Friday, Feb. 6 is for Friends members only from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 everyone is welcome from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to load up on books of all kinds, as well as puzzles, games, magazines, DVDs and audiobooks.

Donations of these items are accepted year-round at the Welcome desk in the library. We appreciate good conditions. Magazines are accepted if published within the last two years.

(Cash or cheque only.) All proceeds from this sale will support programs and services at our library, so snap up some great items while supporting your library.

The library’s hours are:

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
