Busy summer of sounds ahead
Thank you to the Cranbrook & District Arts Council for being the parent non-profit organization for SummerSounds 2014, this helps tremendously in securing available grants.
Thank you to all the repeat and new sponsors for providing financial support to help with expenses such as compensation for Rotary Park rental, performers, sound system rental, sound man, insurance coverage, SOCAN fees. Thank you to City of Cranbrook City council for waiving the rental fee for Rotary Park.
SummerSounds2014 starts on Saturday, June 28 and runs until Saturday, October 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Live music followed by a DJ from 2 to 4 p.m., in conjunction with the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market. This year we are booking touring musicians as well and a big thank you goes out to Collin Johnston, General Manager of The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre for providing complimentary rooms.
August 16 the Cranbrook Multi Culture Society present the first Cranbrook Multicultural Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We are working with Coco Seitz, one of the Multiculture Festival organizers to help provide live musical entertainment, sound system and sound tech.
August 23, Cranbrook & District Arts Council present Art in the Park, we are working with Mitchell Pocha, Arts Council President to provide live musical entertainment, sound system and sound man.
In addition to the Saturday shows there are two Wednesday Night Markets presented by the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market on July 16 and August 13, 5:30 to 8 p.m. We are working with Erna Jensen-Shill, Market Manager to provide Live Musical Entertainment, Sound System and Sound Tech.
Saturday evenings in August Randy Tapp presents Dancing in the Park from 7 to 10 p.m. Randy says that dancing works better with live music. We will be providing live musical entertainment, sound system and sound tech.

We would like to welcome the people of Cranbrook and visitors to our city to come downtown check out the Farmer’s Market and stay for the music, we will also have activities for children throughout the day to make this truly a family event.
