Cranbrook Arts Council moving

The Cranbrook and District Arts Council (CDAC) is moving from its 11th Avenue South home.

In a letter to membership, CDAC president Sioux Browning explained the move from the 32A-11th Ave. S., location is “due to a variety of reasons, including but not limited to a leaking roof and severe mould issues.”

“Our last day in this location is August 31. We’ll make an announcement re: our new location when the decision and paperwork is finalized,” Browning said.

As a result of the move the CDAC’s open themed Summer Member’s Exhibit is cancelled.

“To make up for the inconvenience, the first exhibit at CDAC’s new location will be an open themed exhibit,” Browning said, adding the date has yet to be determined.

As part of the move process, the following office hours will be in effect for the month of August: Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. only.

These hours are for office business only as the galleries will not be in use.

The CDAC will be closed completely the week of August 29 – September 3.
