Dean Brody finds gold in Dirt
Jaffray’s Dean Brody has found gold in Dirt.
Brody’s album Dirt, released in April 2012, has been certified as a Gold Record in Canada, surpassing sales of 40,000 copies.
Dirt has produced four top 10 singles including Canadian Girls, which was a number one hit, the gold selling It’s Friday (with Great Big Sea), and Bob Marley and Underneath the Apple Trees.
Dirt, the fifth single from the album, was the top gaining single on Country radio last week.
Brody won the 2012 CCMA Award for Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year and was nominated for a 2013 Juno Award for Country Album of the Year.
He is expected to release his fourth album this autumn.
Brody was also recently named as one of Hello! Canada’s Most Beautiful People.
