Dirty Grace to grace Kimberley

Dirty Grace, one of B.C.’s most intriguing up-and-coming bands is coming to Centre 64 in Kimberley on Saturday, July 6.

With one member from Eastern Canada, one from Western Canada, and one from somewhere in the middle, this band covers a lot of ground but not just geographically.

This trio of songwriters produces a playful mix of music ranging from the provocatively cheeky to the intimately introspective, all driven by a curiosity in music’s ability to expose, shake down and express. View Magazine writes, “Lush three-part harmonies intermingle with beat boxing, ballroom pianos, acoustic guitars, clinking cans and a kaleidoscope of musical colours with Dirty Grace’s new disc…”

After three cross-Canada tours, two meditation retreats and a healthy dose of clown school the band continues to develop its live shows into an interactive, honest experience that works well in a variety of settings. Their shows range from the intimate and acoustic to dance floor and electronic blending elements of folk, hip-hop, rock, swing, electronic and gypsy-jazz beneath a swell of three part harmonies and contagious melodies.

Dirty Grace will appear at Centre 64 on Saturday, July 6 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available on line at: dirtygracekimberley.eventbrite.ca or at Centre 64 – 64 Deer Park Avenue from Tuesday to Saturday 1- 5 p.m.  To check out the band, visit www.dirtygracemusic.com.
