Kimberley will be alive with First Saturdays celebrations today, August 1.

A monthly celebration of Kimberley arts and culture is held on the first Saturday of each month heading to October.

The day-long celebration of arts and culture, organized by Kimberley Arts Council, showcases art demonstrations, an art market, demonstrations, live music and theatre, restaurant specials, nature walks, a high tea and children areas with clowns, face painting and more in the Platzl.

Additionally, there is the Marysville Artisans demonstrations and workshops and a Centre 64 art exhibit.

Finally, for those needing to break a sweat, today is the Dusty Downhill Trail Run at Kimberley Alpine Resort.
