Fisher Peak Performing Arts Society formed
The upcoming season is fast approaching; this year the organizers of SummerSounds have formed the Fisher Peak Performing Artists Society.
The society will oversee the operation of SummerSounds 2015- Rotary Park Music Series encompassing Saturday Daytime Shows which are held in conjunction with the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market Society.
Board members are: Jamie Neve, President; Ferdy Belland, Vice President ; Randy Tapp, Secretary; Louie A Cupello, Treasurer; Janice Sommerfeld, Director at Large; Shelagh Gunn Redecopp, Director at Large; Rod Wilson, Director at Large; Jim Conley, Past President, Director at Large.
Jim Conley who proved to be a valuable individual for our society is moving to Kelowna and will be sorely missed. Jim has a work ethic second to none and his attention to detail is impeccable. He will continue to serve as Director of Large until the move to Kelowna is complete.
Show times will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and run from Saturday, June 27 to Saturday, Sep 5. In addition the popular Dancing in the Park with Randy Tapp and Kim Bombardier – Cranbrook Dance Connection to live music will run from 7 to 10 p.m. from Saturday, Aug. 1 to Saturday, Aug. 29.
The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market will also be holding Wednesday Night Markets (Dates and Times TBA) and we will be providing the entertainment, sound system and sound techs. We are looking forward to an exciting, fun filled season.
Thank You to all the sponsors for their generous support, all the people who came out week after week, the Cranbrook & District Arts Council, The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market, all the musicians, sound techs, Jim Conley for allowing the use of his sound system and all the volunteers who spent many, many hours tirelessly lending a hand. I apologize if I missed anyone.
