Hearth 5 Friday and Saturday
The public is welcome to attend the fifth annual Hearth Christmas Sale in West Fernie Dec. 4 and 5.
The arts sale is held at Sarah Pike’s 1480 McDonald Avenue home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“Every year we empty out our house of furniture and turn our home into a cozy pop up gallery. We call it Hearth, because we have the woodstove burning, the mulled wine brewing and along with offering up some excellent gift buying opportunities, we hope to evoke that sense of gathering around the fire on a winter evening with friends,” Pike said.
This year’s lineup of artists include Leanne Stothert Painting, Michael Hepher of Clawhammer Press and Janet McIntyre and there will be two new artists, too. Katherine Russell will be bringing her stunning blown and fused glass and Holly Kimola of Holly Horses will be bringing her super cool leather work and handmade lamps.
“We are sorry to say goodbye to our friends and talented makers, Kerri Holmes and Alain Stahl, but wish them the best with their new ventures. Kerri is attending college in Castlegar and Alain now sells his finely crafted woodwork on 2nd Avenue,” Pike said.
