Holiday festivities at The Arts Station

We have set the date to decorate at The Arts Station! Come help us spread some holiday cheer tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Lend your expertise in holiday decor from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and help us set the mood for the upcoming season of giving!

If you are feeling really enthusiastic, we are also looking for activity leaders during the week of December 18 to 23; you will be getting more on that very soon. For more information or to let us know you want in on the fun, you can find us at (250) 423-4842, [email protected] or swing by.

Opera from the Masters

Rossini’s Barber of Seville (Il Barbiere di Siviglia)is Thursday, December 15 at 7 p.m. at The Arts Station.

Though its premiere was an infamous flop, The Barber of Seville has become a standard of comic opera repertory. Irrepressible Figaro, town barber and jack-of-all-trades, learns that dashing Count Almaviva loves the young, rich and beautiful Rosina, the ward and intended wife of strict Dr. Bartolo. Rosina is equally smitten with the count, whom she has never met, and tosses him a love note from her balcony. Figaro gleefully masterminds an elopement, employing a series of disguises and ruses that bring the lovers together in the nick of time.

Entrance by donation.
