Inch’Allah next up for Indie Films Fernie
Indie Films Fernie next presentation will be Inch’Allah, showing Monday, January 7 at 7 p.m. at the Vogue Theatre.
Inch’Allah (English, Arabic, Hebrew with English Subtitles) From the same team that produced Incendies and Monsieur Lazhar, Inch’ Allah was screened as a Special Presentation at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The film explores the impact of Israel’s separation barrier on the divided populations of the West Bank. The story is told through the perspective of an outsider: Chloé, a Quebec doctor who works in a women’s health clinic on the Palestinian side of the barrier but resides in an apartment on the Israeli side.
Chloé, aware of the simmering violence around her, instinctively wants to help and build bridges, but is eventually compelled to make a choice that has enormous repercussions.
Tickets are available at the door and online.
