Key City Theatre announces 2015 – 2016 season
The sky’s the limit! Key City Theatre is thrilled to bring you our brightest season yet. Discover the finest artists in many genres ranging from Celtic, Rock, Musical & Dramatic Theatre, Comedy, Folk, Ballet, Classical and even Acrobatic Circus!
Here are just a few of the exciting shows that are coming to Key City Theatre:
September 28 – Quartetto Gelato
Virtuosic showpieces, romantic tenor arias, pyrotechnical solos, blazing gypsy show pieces, multi-instrument mastery and a World Accordion Champion – this is Quartetto Gelato (lead image). An Experience that you do not want to miss!
October 17 – Ethan Russell Best Seat in the House Multimedia Presentation
Ethan Russell is regarded as one of the foremost rock photographers in the world, and the only photographer to have shot album covers of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Who.
From Russell’s early sessions with John Lennon and Mick Jagger, to the spectacular photos of the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus tour, to the stories behind the iconic Who’s Next album cover, audiences will see the photos and hear the stories of a generation from his extraordinary vantage point of “Best Seat in the House.”
October 20 – The Glorious Sons
The Glorious Sons are an everyman band, telling real stories from a blue-collar perspective. Vocalist/lyricist Brett Emmons is one of the strongest new voices in Canadian rock, backed by a lush, loud and powerful soundtrack supplied by guitarists Jay Emmons & Andrew Young, and the rhythm section comprised of Adam Paquette (Drums) & Chris Huot (Bass).
November 14 – Arts Club Theatre presents Red Rock Diner
It is Vancouver, 1957. Five teens come of age while DJ Red Robinson plays the biggest hits of the time—from the raucous “Great Balls of Fire” and “Jailhouse Rock” to ballads like “Diana” and “Crying.” This infectious musical captures the excitement and innocence of the city’s burgeoning rock ‘n’ roll scene.
