Locals delivers for sold out crowd

The February 7 ‘Locals’ delivered another entertaining evening for a sold out crowd.

The show featured 16-year-old Peri DeMarchi from Fernie who won the ‘Next Play: Kootenay 18 & Under Music Competition,’ as well Two’s Company, The Quimbys, poet/playwright Barbara Phillips and singer/songwriter Trena whose country song “Crazy” won song of the year at the Josie Music Awards.

Well-known five piece band Pretty for the People sent the audience home on a high note with their energetic cover songs.

March 14 ‘Locals’: Note-able Folk, Jon Bisset, Sheva, Wally Smith, Dawson Rutledge & Angus Liedtke. Maddisun, who just returned from touring Ireland, will close out the show.

Tickets ($20 cash) available starting March 1 at Huckleberry Books in Cranbrook.
