Here’s what’s happening at the Fernie Heritage Library in March.
Storytime (Ages three to five years)
Tuesdays 11:15 a.m.-noon
Stories, singing and activities for preschoolers and their caregivers.
Toddlertime (Ages infant to two years)
Wednesdays 11:15 a.m.
Fridays 11:15 a.m.
Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.
Children’s Activities for Grades 1-6 from March 1-11
Tuesdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Knits and Knots
Join in some yarny fun for ages eight plus, Drop In.
Wednesdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Charadians
For those who love all things drama. Ages 8+, Drop In
Thursdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Lego Club-Mini-Engineers Month;
New challenge every week, for ages seven plus MUST REGISTER to attend.
Red Cedar Book Club: March 4, 3:45-4:45 p.m. Grades 4-6.
Special Events
Spring Bey Blade Competition: Wednesday March 9, 3:45-4:45 p.m.
Bring your favourite Bey Blade and compete for FHL Bey Blade Trophy.
Children under seven must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Engineer’s Lego Challenge: Thursday March 31, 6-7 p.m.
Calling all engineers to form a child/adult team child for a special Lego Challenge as we celebrate National Engineer’s month.
SPRING BREAK ACTIVITIES: March 15-18
Tuesday, Mar. 15 to Thursday, Mar. 18, 1-3 p.m. Castlemania for ages 7+; Drop-In, limited spaces.
Teenspace
Thursday March 3, 6:30-8 p.m.
Rather than a program for teens, TeenSpace is simply a venue for teens to come and be together in an environment that is non-judgemental and available.
