The fifth annual Columbia Salmon Festival is taking place on Saturday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kinsmen Beach in Invermere.

Highlights of the the free festival include a Powwow with the Ktunaxa Dance Troupe and Ktunaxa Legends, magicians, the Salmon Pavilion and more.

Please note that the canoe brigade will be arriving at Kinsmen Beach around 10:45 a.m. for the canoe exchange ceremony (pictured). If the weather is particularly windy or bad, the start of the festival may be delayed slightly to accommodate a later arrival by the brigade.
