Shannon Kelly: Earth. Sky. Spirit.
Fernie’s Art Station Gallery is preparing for its next show, beginning July 28.
Working on several bodies of work simultaneously, Shannon Kelly’s style of painting is experiential. Beginning without a plan or picture and allowing the painting to develop organically creates series of works that represent a part of who Shannon is and each painting is a piece of that story.
The SPIRIT paintings are evocative and surreal and are metaphysical in nature, this is reflected in the multiple layers of paint and hidden meanings.
The SKY paintings are peaceful, airy and serene, a perfect escape. The wide open skies provide a place for the mind to be still.
The EARTH series represents the outer world and plays with elements of nature. Shannon will have paintings from all three of the series at her amazing exhibit at The Arts Station.
The Arts Station is pleased to be able to offer Shannon’s stunning works for public enjoyment until August 23, and hope that everybody appreciates the bold, majestic brushstrokes as they are juxtaposed with individual imaginations.
The show’s opening reception is Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m.
