Sweet Soul Burlesque highly entertaining
By Shawn Parker
Sunday night (Oct. 21) was the return of Sweet Soul Burlesque, and what a show they put on Key City Theatre!
The cast of five women and one man, Sir Tux Alot, kept the crowd laughing between songs, and loud and boisterous during them. Many of the songs were hip hop, with a Frank tune and some other great music.
Crystal Precious sang a few rap rap songs from her album to be released in the New Year. The Tango from Moulin Rouge was the highlight of the show, and did it deliver! This was highly entertaining, and don’t get burlesque confused with smut. There was NO nudity. The crowd was probably 70% female. I talked with one lady who has seen them upwards of five times.
It was a good old fashioned great time. Good music. Good dancing. Some laughs. If you just like to have fun with a mostly anything goes kinda crowd this would be for you.
