Wapiti celebrates five years this August
Running August 7 and 8, the fifth annual Wapiti Music Festival brings fresh indie and breaking artists to Fernie for two days of family fun and killer sound.
This year, Newfoundland’s Sherman Downey, Regina’s Rah Rah, Vancouver’s Mounties and The Harpoonist & the Axe Murderer (lead image) are set to play within this stellar coast-to-coast lineup.
Take advantage of this festival, as it captures the true spirit of the Kootenays. Experience Fernie with Wapiti Music Festival and include your favourite outdoor activities around the music schedule, like mountain biking or fly fishing on the world famous Elk River. Kids tent with crafts and a colourful vendor village are also on site.
Kick off the weekend early with a free show! Thursday, August 6 with Calgary’s funk and groove band The Steadies playing downtown Fernie at The Arts Station at 7 p.m. Look for the refreshment garden and the Wapiti merchandise table.

As always kids and seniors are free at Wapiti.
