Wapiti ready to host Canada
Call out for volunteers
One month away and Fernie is host to an array of top musical acts from across Canada.
In its third year this August, Wapiti Music Festival is well under way with all the planning stages and is now waiting for the set up phase.
“Netting indie rockers Plants and Animals among the other diverse musicians was a big step in the right direction for us this year, our focus, and always has been, – is to showcase the up and coming fresh indie talent here in Canada. This line up has stacked up to be our best yet,” says Matt Brazeau of the music committee.
Right now Wapiti is calling out for volunteers to join the crew. Volunteers can sign up online. All volunteers receive a free weekend pass, a wrap up party and a shirt!
The Wapiti Music Festival, held in Fernie’s beautiful Annex Park, runs two days, Friday, August 9 and Saturday the 10th. Tickets are now on sale. Advance prices are in effect in limited quantities.
