College of the Rockies’ Hairstylist Program was host to a special guest on June 20.  Redken 5th Avenue NYC artist Salina Khan spent the day with students, introducing them to the latest trends and giving them the opportunity for hands-on experience with Redken’s newest colour line.

Redken is regarded as one of the premier companies in the ‘world of hair’ and is focused on education and quality.

Instructor Gwen Stewart commented, “This was an exciting opportunity for our students.  They will be the first to use the new colour line which represents a whole new science and is healthier for our clients and for the environment.”

In addition to College of the Rockies students, Stewart invited professional stylists from the East Kootenay area to take advantage of this unique opportunity to update their product knowledge. “It’s great to be able to share this training with stylists in the region.  It’s so important to keep on top of the latest innovations in the hairstyling industry,” added Stewart.
