CRIA helping Cranbrook Food Bank

Although the restaurant of the Canadian Rockies International Airport (CRIA) is currently vacant, airport administration is working towards securing a new restaurant operator, but also supporting the Cranbrook Food Bank.

Airport administration announced today (March 16) that it is providing a variety of baked goods and coffee to its customers, at a cost of $1 per item on the honour system. The intent is to continue to provide some food and beverage options at the airport, and the proceeds from the food and beverage sales will be going to the Cranbrook Food Bank.

“While we’re looking forward to welcoming a new restaurant operator to the airport very soon, I am relieved that we’ve found a way to maintain some basic food and beverage options,” said Tristen Chernov,  airport managing director.  “The honour system has been working great and with all proceeds going to the Food Bank, the administration staff here have been very motivated to go the extra mile to keep the coffee flowing and food items well stocked,” he said.
