Film production topic of discussion May 10
Please join us Thursday May 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fernie Chamber of Commerce for a meeting with Joanna Maratta, Community Liaison for the Kootenay Columbia Film Region.
She will be discussing film production in general, the role of the regional film commission, what to do when a film comes to town – how to register your property, how to negotiate compensation, and even where to go to put in a resume to work with the film.
Fernie is quickly becoming a go-to community in B.C. for film production, and we will be seeing more of it taking place in our community in the future. Let’s educate ourselves now, and be prepared so we can all enjoy the experience and benefit from it together.
Everyone is welcome! Feel free to extend this invitation to any individuals or non-member businesses that you feel may be interested in attending.
Hosted by the Fernie Chamber of Commerce, The City of Fernie, and the Kootenay Columbia Film Region.
