Local business, The Playpen Pet Boarding & Grooming, is seeking votes from the Cranbrook community to become a finalist for the Best Company Award from Small Business BC’s Successful You Awards Contest.

The Playpen Pet Boarding & Grooming (The Playpen) is up against 26 businesses across B.C. vying for the Best Company Award, recognizing businesses that demonstrate exceptional leadership and a track record of growth and profitability.

In order to move on in the contest as a top 10 finalist, The Playpen needs to gain as many votes as possible on the Successful You Awards website by November 30.

Open for just over four years, The Playpen is the premiere pet care facility in the Kootenays. To date there are no other facilities within Cranbrook city limits that provide boarding, daycare and grooming under the same roof. The Playpen maintains the highest service standards and was named 2010 Cranbrook Entrepreneur of the Year, and Platinum Business Award Winner 2011 and 2012.

The 10th Annual Small Business BC Successful You Awards Contest celebrates the top small businesses from across British Columbia. Entrepreneurs will be awarded in six diverse categories for the contributions they make within their own communities and to the greater economy.

The top 10 highest voted nominees will be announced as finalists on December 13, then go on to submit an application which judges will use to decide the top 5 finalists from each category, announced on January 30, 2013.

The winners will be announced at the Successful You Awards Ceremony on February 28, 2013, at the Pan Pacific Vancouver.
