Social media focus of presentation
The world of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, YouTube and other forms of social media were the focus of a presentation at Key City Theatre Jan. 16.
Hosted by North Star GM’s director of marketing and social media Heather Fancy, the hour-long presentation called ‘Social Media for Business Exposed’ attracted almost 50 people eager to learn tidbits of information about social media and how it can be best applied by businesses. Attendees came from Kimberley and Cranbrook and as far away as Invermere.
East Kootenay News Online Weekly (e-KNOW) photographer and social media director and Through My Eyes Photography owner Carrie Schafer and SNAP East Kootenay’s Janice Sommerfeld provided additional information on how photography and images can be used to excellent affect through social media to enhance message delivery.
Also on hand was Kootenay Communications’ Janice Nicli, pictured at far left. To her left are Carrie Schafer, Janice Sommerfeld and Heather Fancy.
