Canadian Red Cross Workshop to help tackle bullying
The Canadian Red Cross is pleased to offer a bullying prevention workshop in Radium Hot Springs called Beyond the Hurt, thanks to sponsorship from the Columbia Basin Trust and the Village of Radium Hot Springs. If you are a parent, a coach or an adult who works with children and youth, this workshop will help you to better understand the issues behind bullying and learn how to develop and implement successful prevention strategies.
“For too long, bullying has been dismissed as a normal, harmless part of growing up,” explains facilitator Chris MacPherson.“But something that causes long-term misery and deeply scars so many lives cannot be dismissed as just ‘kid stuff’. The solution isn’t simple but there are ways to help young people make better choices and stop the cruelty and the suffering.”
The six hour workshop will be held on May 15 and 16 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Radium Firehall.
If you would like to participate in the Beyond the Hurt workshop, contact Chris MacPherson at [email protected] Register early as there are only 20 seats.
