Downtown Invermere a beehive of activity last Saturday
It was the biggest events weekend of the year for Invermere and area residents and visitors July 22-24.
Beginning with Bull Riding in the Rockies Friday, July 22, the fun and games hit an even greater level on Saturday, July 23 with the annual Visitor Appreciation Day, running in conjunction with the weekly Invermere Farmers’ Market.
The bigger and better Farmers’ Market and VAD activities, this year located on nearby 13th Avenue, blended together to make for a fun carnival atmosphere as several thousand people made the most of the Service Club Pancake Breakfast, visited the numerous informational booths and took in the sights and sounds of the planned events.
Meanwhile, a short walk away, the Farmers’ Market offered a savory blend of delicious smells and sights, with a wealth of locally grown produce, baked goods and much more.
