Fourth annual Walk-a-thon May 12 in Jaffray
The fourth annual Jaffray Walk-a-thon is taking place on the morning of May 12.
Beginning and ending at the Jaffray Community Hall, the Walk-a-thon offers three, five and 10 km sections for people to take part in.
Registration for the event begins at 9:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.
A fundraiser for the Sand Creek Community Club, participants are encouraged to get pledge sheets. Anyone who raises $100 in pledges gets a free gift and there is a prize for the most pledges, as well as plenty of prize draws, followed by a free BBQ lunch put on by the Sand Creek Lions Club. There is a minimum $15 pledge per participant.
Pledge Sheets available at the following locations: Jaffray School, Jaffray General Store, The Pump and Pantry, Jaffray Sport Shop.
The event will be held rain, snow or shine!
