Friday is Park on us Day in Cranbrook
This Friday, Sept. 16, is free parking day in Cranbrook thanks to the United Way’s Park on us Day.
Stop by 930 Baker Street in the morning for coffee and cookies, starting at 8 a.m. and the fundraising barbecue, hosted by M&M Meats, begins at 11 a.m.
There will be balloons and popcorns and fun contests for kids, too.
Helping launch things, City of Cranbrook council Sept. 12 proclaimed October as United Way Month in the city.
The United Way’s fundraising goal is $100,000 and the group is hopeful for strong community support. You can Donate online at: https://www.cranbrook.unitedway.ca.
