Keeping the tradition alive

There has been a tradition in the Columbia Valley area that involves some daring soul, often high school kids, who takes the first plunge of the year into the still-icy waters of Lake Windermere. It’s often one of the first signs of ‘spring.’ Despite the fact that it is currently snowing in the northern reaches of the region, while folks down in the southern part are enjoying sunshine, the tradition has been kept alive and we just had to share.
