Power Pioneers assist A Clear View campaign

Ken Dodgson, President of the Kootenay Branch of BC Hydro Power Pioneers proudly hands over a donation of $500 to East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s Executive Director Donna Grainger.

Over the next two years EKFH is taking on its biggest fundraising challenge with a $1 million capital campaign called A Clear View – a digital mammography campaign.   Since no government funding is available, it is donors that will make this dream a reality.

The current mammography unit is 11-years-old and utilizes soon to be out-of-date film technology.  The current unit also does not allow minimally invasive image guided biopsy.

If you would like to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer, please consider a donation today.  Visit EKFH’s secured website at www.ekfh.ca or call Donna toll-free at:  1-877-489-6481 or 250-489-6481.
