ʔaq’amnik School needs your votes
The ʔaq’amnik School has entered into Aviva Canada’s competition to receive funding to create a playground for The Blank Canvas-Our Playground.
The ʔaq’amnik School was newly reopened in 2012 (pictured above) but has yet to secure enough funds to develop and create a playground for their students. In order to be successful as we are from a small community and competing against larger communities, we are going to require community support to see this idea through to the next round.
We submitted an idea to the Aviva Community Fund, an annual competition that contributes $1,000,000 to create positive change in communities across Canada. If our idea receives enough votes, it could win a share of the prize.
Please check out my idea and vote for it at https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf17016 .
Help our school turn our blank canvas into a masterpiece! Vote for ʔaq’amnik to get a new playground! Please share this and vote often.
In order to win, we need votes…lots of them. PLEASE VOTE ONLINE EVERYDAY, and pass this along to as many people as possible.
Mr. Lunan and some of our students made an awesome video describing why we need a playground. It’s really cute, and includes Mr. Lunan and Mr. Stewart agreeing to public humiliation videos of themselves for every 50 votes we get. You can update yourself on the videos here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMd0a94EYRAQwUPTtxIbHcw/videos
