$25k just a concerted click effort away
All right East Kootenay residents – here’s a chance to help a fellow community take a big step toward a great new project.
For the price of a few computer mouse clicks tomorrow, July 11, you can help the Rotary Club of Invermere move closer to establishing a splash and spray park at Kinsmen Beach.
Invermere is going up against Pemberton (west of Whistler) in the Kraft Celebration Tour vote off.
Rotary says the spray park has a projected cost of $320,000, and it has committed $50,000 and already raised an additional $20,000.
“The $25,000 Community Award would help bring this project to life,” the Rotary Club’s Facebook page notes.
Along with possibly winning the cash, Invermere would be a host community for a broadcast of TSN’s Sports Centre later in the year.
