Sparwood was the place to be last weekend if you were looking for a wide variety of family fan.

The annual Coal Miner Days festivities kept the community hopping all weekend, with many hundreds of residents, Elk Valley neighbours and visitors taking part.

The annual parade, one of the biggest in the Kootenays, once again proved to be a big hit for young and old, with youngsters making out like bandits with candy!
