Arrest warrant issued following abduction of two sisters
Vulcan RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for the mother of two missing girls, taken May 13 by their biological mother from their school in Brandt, Alta.
Police report it is believed that Trina Marie Meisel, 48, may be either heading to Saskatchewan or west into B.C. with her daughters Taya Zamra (6) and Talisha Jayden Meisel (12).
They are thought to be travelling in a 2007 black Honda CRV with Alberta licence plate ORNRSE.
RCMP was called to an Brant Christian Elementary School in Brant, near Vulcan, on Monday at about 10:45 a.m. for a possible parental abduction.
An Amber Alert was issued today (May 14) by Vulcan RCMP. The delay in the alert was because police believe the girls are not considered to be in imminent danger.
