Canal Flats sends out invites
The Village of Canal Flats is happily heading toward an important date and the invitation is out to residents and everyone else to join them in celebration of the grand opening of the Columbia Discovery Centre.
Joining the village in the grand opening is the Ktunaxa Nation Council, as the Discovery Centre is now the village’s offices as well as a Ktunaxa Interpretive Centre.
The grand opening begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the 8866 Grainger Road location.
Along with refreshments and entertainment, the special event will feature meat drying and pit cooking demonstrations, as well as a Headwaters Art Gallery display, door prizes and more.
