City begins partnership with curling club

Mayor Wayne Stetski (fourth from left) and Councillor Sharon Cross (far right), on behalf of City of Cranbrook Council, presented a $40,000 cheque to Bill Brock (third from left, front), President of the Cranbrook Curling Association on Wednesday night (January 29). The city and the Curling Association signed a five-year management and operating partnership agreement in late 2013, which sees the city provide $40,000 annually to the club each year to look after most of the day-to-day operations of the Cranbrook Curling Club.  The agreement is valid until September 30, 2018.
