The City of Kimberley Request for quotations to obtain and perform work to complete:

Construction of 200 meters of PVC Water Main and Road Reconstruction, Dalgren Street.

Construction of 360 meters of Watermain Pipe Bursting and Road Reconstruction, 309th. Avenue.

Quotations will be received at the Information Counter, Main Floor, Kimberley City Hall, addressed to Don Schacher, Project Coordinator (CONFIDENTIAL) 340 Spokane Street, Kimberley B.C., V1A 2E8, until 4 p.m. local time on June 26.

Property taxes and Home Owner Grant applications are due July 3

Property Tax Notices for the City of Kimberley have been mailed out. If you have not received your notice, please contact City Hall at (250) 427-5311, extension 202.

Whether you have your taxes paid by your mortgagor, through the City’s tax prepayment plan or even if you cannot pay your taxes at this time, you must still claim your Home Owner Grant (if eligible) by July 3, 2012 to avoid being assessed a 10% penalty on the unclaimed grant.

Post marks are not accepted for payments or Home Owner Grant applications sent by mail.

Tax Deferment programs

The Province of BC offers two property tax deferment programs:

1.    Regular Tax Deferment; age 55 years or older, disabled persons, surviving spouse

2.    Families with Children Tax Deferment; children under the age of 18

Complete applications for the tax deferment programs must be received prior to July 3, 2012.
