Cocaine, meth, weapons seized in a Cranbrook motel room

On Nov 7, RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act on a motel room in Cranbrook. Once inside police found cocaine, bear spray, a metal pipe, a machete, handcuffs and a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.

In addition to the drugs and weapons police seized a number of items to support a charge of trafficking. These include digital scales, small baggies, cell phones and cash.

Two males (21 and 22) from Cranbrook were arrested and appeared in court on Friday, Nov 9, with weapons and drug charges recommended.

Police were particularly concerned given the weapons found in the room at the time. This creates a huge risk of violence for anyone dealing with these people.
